Police said they seized and destroyed 3,944 illegal marijuana plants from seven industrial-sized greenhouses after serving a search warrant outside Cave Junction on Thursday.
The property showed evidence of multiple Josephine County code violations, including unauthorized structures, electrical installations and excavations. The owner could face civil forfeiture and legal action such as having the land closed for a year for illegal drug cultivation, according to Oregon State Police.
The OSP Southwest Region Drug Enforcement Section Team, assisted by the Josephine Marijuana Drug Enforcement Team, carried out the raid in the 600 block of Pinewood Way, a said OSP.
