New Weed Bag Seed Forget About It » How to Grow Weed Indoors

I just did a 4 month grow with new weed bag seeds; you can forget about using bagged seeds of modern weeds.

All plants started flowering under 24 hour light.

All the plants sprouted little buds and the weed sucked.

I’ve been traveling in my 2001 Chevy Express High Top Conversion pickup truck with Ricky, my 4 year old American Bulldog/Staffordshire Terrier mix, for the past year which has been really great. We’ve covered over 15,000 miles and visited 23 states. I’m stuck at home for the winter because I’ve run out of money.

What’s not so great? I couldn’t grow any weeds and bought it in Colorado. The price hasn’t been too bad, $85.00 an ounce out the door at the green dragon weed store, but still, I can grow it for about $30.00 an ounce indoors and as low as $15, depending on how much I grow.

To note: I also get THC vape cartridges, $25.00 per 1 gram cartridge at the Live well weed store while in Colorado. I think it’s a good deal.

Another remark: Black market weed in the Midwest is around $225 an ounce, which is about the same price as illegal online weed. What a tear. The black market and online guys are cleaning up because my cost is actually more than their cost and they can get away with the high retail price because legal medical and/or recreational weed in the Midwest is sold for even more than $225.

Being able to legally sell home grown weed would be so awesome, but that will never happen as long as the government has its claws in the industry. IMO the worst thing that can happen to marijuana is to make it legal and controlled. It doesn’t need testing or legalization, it needs nothing more than to be taken off the DEA’s drug list.

I’m stuck at home for the winter saving money until we can hit the road again. Since I will be here for a while, I started growing, popping my seeds the first week of November 2021.

There are a few different things with this culture.

  1. I use bagged seeds that I found in recently purchased weed in Colorado. I had no idea of the strain or the type of seed.
  2. I mostly use 5 or 7 gallon fabric pots. I use a few 2 1/2 gallon pots because I’m low on potting soil.
  3. About the best thing that happens at the age of 70; my income has dropped like a rock due to Covid-19 and I am eligible for utility assistance. My electric bill is fixed at $45.00 per month regardless of how much juice I use to grow.

I buy my seeds retail from Robert Bergman for several years now and I recommend it because I know you won’t get ripped off as they guarantee their seeds as well as delivery. Just contact them if you have a problem.

As you know, your electrical cost is the number one expense when growing indoors at home. After analyzing my electric bill, it has gone up about $50 a month since I started going up. I use five Mars Hydro 1000 Watt white LED lights and two old fashioned 300 watt purple LED lights, as well as 2 timers and a fan.

I started 10 packets of seeds and they all popped. My plan was to let the seedlings grow until I could take one or two clones of each. Then I will mark the pots in which the mothers and their clones grow with the same number.

Using my grow tent, I began flowering the clones using 12 out of 12 lighting so I could identify the males and females while their mothers were growing in another room in the vegetative cycle. I won’t waste time doing that. You can also flower all plants. You will be able to identify males from females and then bring the females back into the vegetative cycle to continue growing.

The first thing I noticed was five mothers in the vegetative cycle starting to flower. I’m no expert on autoflowering plants, but from what I’ve read, autoflowering plant seeds aren’t necessarily female, won’t produce plants that will flower automatically, and will most likely grow into plants. hermaphrodites.

All seeds were from retail pots purchased in Colorado over the past few years. All I can assume is that retailers are selling weed grown from autoflower seeds. This is surprising to me because IMO overall AFs are a pain to grow, have less THC and plants are smaller with lighter yields.

Of the remaining 5 mothers, two were male and three were female. I was able to get six clones from three mothers and these will grow in the grow tent under 20 hours on and four hours of light off while their mothers are in their third week of the flowering cycle using 12 hours of light on and extinguished.

The clones of the auto mothers have started flowering, so they share a 2 1/2 gallon pot. I moved them to the flower room and we’ll see how they do. I can’t separate them because I don’t have enough potting soil and I don’t want to buy any.

In the past when I grew automatic flower seeds I used 14 hours of light and had good success. I like how they look with 12 hours of light, so if I ever grow auto flowers again, I’ll go with 12 hours of light.

As it stands, from 10 bag seeds I have the original 4 automatic mothers plus 4 automatic clones plus 3 females growing under 12/12 lights. I use four Mars Hydro 1000 Watt, white LED lights and two old Mars 300 watt purple lights for the bloom room. IMO the Mars 1000 LED luminaire is a lot. I’ve been using them for 2 years and they work perfectly.

In my grow tent I use one, Mars Hydro 1000 watt luminaire. There are seven five-week-old female clones. They will be in the veg cycle until they reach about 42 inches or so, then I will switch to 12/12 light and start the flowering cycle. I would like to veg my plants longer, but due to the limited ceiling height, I have to be careful.

All the clones have started to flower so I have them under 12/12 light. I harvested the other plants and they are all leafy, not very sticky and frankly weed blowing. I barely get a 10 minute buzz.

In conclusion, you can no longer trust modern bag seeds. Every seed I’ve grown and found in recently purchased weed at retail is growing shitty plants.

It’s a shame and we are all forced to buy seeds.
