Natural High Co. Celebrates Black Changemakers in Cannabis in Honor of Juneteenth


Natural High Company organizes its first Juneteenth Emancipation Edition of the “Plates and Plants” dinner series in Los Angeles, CA on Friday, June 17 at 6 p.m.. We want everyone to have a place at the table to share brotherhood, impactful dialogue and meaningful solutions to ensure the voices of Black, Brown, LGBTQIA+ and community allies continue to make a difference in cannabis equity. Dinner will celebrate 10 Black Changemakers in Cannabis and will offer a 7-course menu from the renowned chef Andrea Drummer.

We’re thrilled to bring the Plates & Plants experience to the West Coast for a special June 19th celebration to honor Black legends and industry trailblazers, including confirmed guests: Virgil Grant (California Cannabis), Kika Keith & Haquika Howze (Gorilla Rx Wellness), Shanel Lindsey (Ardent), Whitney Beatty & Andersen in ebony (At Josephine & Billie), Shonitria Antoine (Bluntblowinmama), Corvain Cooper (40tons), chris ball (Ball Family Farms) and more. The event will also feature a signature #CannabisCandid interview with Pineapple Express CEO Shawn Credle and a collaborative dinner hosted by our partner Unity and the Latinx brand, HUMO.

Plates and Plants Cannabis Culinary Event

Plates & Plants is a cannabis-infused and educational culinary experience created to elevate the senses and provide consumers with a unique cannabis experience. We offer the possibility of a complete sensory adventure for the curious and canna connoisseurs. This includes sight, hearing, taste, touch and smell. Our goal is to create a luxurious and intimate cannabis experience, while expanding mindsets, educating and normalizing the plant.

Chef Andrea Drummer

Chef Drummer’s culinary experience dates back to his childhood in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. She first learned the basics of cooking by watching and helping her mother when she was 6 years old. In the midst of a successful business career, Chef Drummer realized that she could no longer ignore her lifelong passion for cooking. After honing her palette while living in Miami, Philadelphia, Atlanta and Brooklyn, she left corporate America to attend Le Cordon Bleu in Los Angeles, California. Since graduating, she has worked for Michelin-starred chefs and renowned restaurateurs such as Neal Fraser and Thomas Keller. She has also served as Executive Lounge Chef at the Ritz-Carlton Los Angeles and is now the owner of a unique California co-op, Elevation VIP. Recently, the co-op was featured in the Chelsea Handler Netflix docu-series, Chelsea Does.

Chef Drummer continues to be a strong advocate for the cannabis community. She also dedicates her time to educating the community on proper dosage and healthy eating. Ms. Drummer is lighting up the competition, with her recent victory in a cannabis cooking contest at the Culinary and Cannabis Expo. Ms. Drummer is set to appear on various TV cooking shows and other events across the country.
